What we do

Four disciplines,
one coordinated plan.

Most advisors specialize in one area. We integrate all of them—because investment decisions affect your taxes, insurance protects what your plan builds, and estate strategy determines what actually gets passed on.

01 /
Financial Planning
A written roadmap that addresses retirement income, Social Security timing, healthcare costs, and major life transitions.
02 /
Investment Management
Low-cost, tax-efficient portfolios built around your risk tolerance, time horizon, and what you actually care about.
03 /
Tax Strategy
Year-round planning coordinated with your CPA—Roth conversions, loss harvesting, and withdrawal sequencing that actually compounds.
04 /
Insurance & Estate
Life, disability, and long-term care coverage sized to your actual needs. Estate documents that reflect what you want—not a template.
A question worth sitting with—

How ready are you, really?

Take two minutes to answer eight questions about your current plan. You'll walk away with a clearer sense of where you stand—no matter who you work with.

About Kingston

Not a robo-advisor.
Not a bank.
Just the right size.

We believe good financial advice should feel like a conversation—not a sales pitch, not a dashboard, and not a 45-minute hold to reach someone who doesn't know you.

Kingston Wealth Management Group was founded on the idea that families deserve independent, fiduciary advice from people who take the time to understand their full picture. That conviction hasn't changed in 25 years—and neither has the size of our practice, by design.

Independent

No proprietary products. No sales quotas. Our recommendations reflect what's right for you.

Fiduciary

Legally bound to put your interests first—not a slogan, an actual standard of care.

Local

Based in South Windsor. Most of our clients live within an hour's drive.

Coordinated

Investments, taxes, insurance, estate—we manage how they interact, not just individual parts.

How we work

A three-step process—
no pressure, no obligation.

Starting a relationship with a new advisor should feel measured and low-stakes. Here's what ours looks like.

01
Introduction
A 30-minute conversation—in person or over Zoom—to understand your situation and answer your initial questions. No paperwork, no commitment.
02
Discovery
We dig deeper into your goals, accounts, and concerns. You'll leave with at least one actionable idea, whether or not you choose to work with us.
03
Partnership
When the fit is right, we build your plan, implement it carefully, and meet regularly to adjust as your life evolves.

Questions

Clarity,
not jargon.

A few of the questions we hear most often from prospective clients. If yours isn't here, ask us directly—we'll answer plainly.

Transparent, fee-based pricing. For investment management, we charge a percentage of assets under management that decreases as your portfolio grows. No commissions on trades, no hidden fees, no surprises. We walk you through exactly what you'll pay before you commit.

Most of our advisory clients have $250,000 or more in investable assets. If you're building toward that, we offer planning engagements that help you get there without requiring a minimum.

Your 401(k) provider manages one account. Your bank sells products. We look at your entire financial picture—investments, taxes, insurance, estate, Social Security—and build a coordinated strategy. Because we're independent, we aren't incentivized to recommend any particular product.

Casual and conversational—about 30 minutes, in our South Windsor office or over Zoom. We'll listen to what's on your mind, answer your questions, and help you think through at least one decision you're currently weighing. Zero pressure to continue.

Yes. We handle the full transfer process for IRAs, 401(k) rollovers, brokerage accounts, and annuities. Most transfers complete within 5–10 business days, and we manage the paperwork so you don't have to.
